We committed to getting up early today, to avoid the mile long lines at the ferry for the Statue of Liberty.... and it worked. We got up at about 7am and made our way downtown and basically got straight onto the waiting ferry (after going through security etc).
We picked the perfect day! The weather was unbelievable. We walked around the base of it and also up to the pedestal..... and we fully got into the whole tourist aspect with our hats and sunnies. People wanted photos of us and with us. haha.
(sorry about the photo overload, i couldn't decide which ones to put up)
After our visit to the Statue, we went home for lunch. Had a little rest.
We then walked down to the Port Authority Bus Terminal and bought tickets to go to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. One of our new friends, who we met at the Sara Bareilles concert, invited us down to participate in a massive thriller dance world record thingy. I bought a zombie costume today. Getting into the spirit!
Later on, we went in the 'Million Dollar Quartet' ticket lottery..... and won again! :)
yay. front row for all of us :)
The show was sooo much fun. It was all about Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis.
